III. EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION A. Mix proportioning Two grades of concrete M20 and M25 having nominal mix proportion of 11.53 and 112 respectively were used by weight and wc ratio was fixed according to the slump requirement of 60mm. For this concrete mix quarry dust was added for replacement of sand from 0 to 100 in step of 10.

Mar 01 2020 River sand and lateritic soils were sourced locally around the Landmark University premise with a geographical position of 8.1239 N 5.0834 E. Red earth soil was gotten at a location around a hilly terrain within the University premise while quarry dust was obtained from a quarry site within the township of Omuaran at a location of 8.1402 N 5.0963 E. Ordinary Portland cement that .
Sep 01 2016 From the experimental studies they reported that 25 partial replacement of cement with quarry dust showed improvement in hardened of concrete. Mustafa et al. 9 conducted a review on fly ash-based geopolymer concrete without cement and found that the compressive strength increased with the increasing fly ash fineness and thus reducing the .
Concrete is a material used in building construction consisting of a hard chemically inert substance known as aggregate usually made from different type of sand and gravel that is bonded together by element and water. The word concrete comes from the Latin word Concreters the past participle of Concrescere. Con means together and crescere means to grow .
Concrete preparation was done by keeping constant the mine tailings portion as coarse aggregate while partially replacing river sand by quarry dust at different fractions as 0 10 30 and 50. It was established that comparatively to normal concrete at 28 days the compressive and tensile strengths of concrete with mine-tailings and river .
Abstract. Abstract This study presents an experimental investigation on self-compacting concrete SCC with fine aggregate sand replacement of a Quarry Dust QD 0 25 50 75 100 and addition of mineral admixtures like Fly Ash FA and Silica Fume SF amp chemical admixtures like super plasticizers SP.

For this experimental study hollow concrete blocks have been prepared by using four different proportions. An attempt has been made to replace the sand by quarry dust either partially or completely. In each of the proportions various wc ratios such as 0.4 0.45 and 0.55 with and without admixtures have been tried. This has been done to know the

May 19 2020 Experimental Study has shown the effect on Compressive strength of concrete by replacing cement with 1020 and 30 of quarry dust by S. Nazma and S. Madhavi 1. They have concluded the linear increase in compressive strength by replacing quarry dust upto 10 to 20 and observed decreasement if replaced more than 20 to 30 and Also optimization of cement content can be achieved by using quarry dust as a replacement.

In this study partial replacement of cement by fly ash and quarry dust has been made in order to limiting the usage of cement and thereby it leads a way to reduce the cost of construction. Moreover it is suitable for handling the waste products from thermal station and crushers and reduces the impact of environmental pollution issues. In order to compensate the strength and durability related .
May 10 2021 Expansive soils can cause significant distress in pavement construction because of their swelling and shrinking nature. One such method to control this problem is addition of stabilising agent to the expansive soil. Millions of tonnes of quarry dust waste produced every year are not disposed properly resulting in environmental pollution as well as serious health hazards.

It is advisable to replace some quantities of the existing soil and be replaced by quarry dust since quarry dust is a waste product from crushing of stones. Lastly about 30 of the existing soil should be replaced by either the mixture of lateritic soil and quarry dust or the soil there should be used as subbase which may not be economical.
The use of natural sand as fine aggregate in concrete is becoming problematic due to scarcity and pressure on mining of the resource. Alternate sources such as the use of industrial waste as replacement of natural sand in concrete are gaining popularity as a sustainable construction material.
